Terms of service
Last updated 16 August 2026
1. Who we are
Jonathan Smith Markets ("we", "us") publishes financial education, market research and independent platform comparisons. Registered company details to be inserted before launch. By using this website you accept these terms.
2. Nature of the service
We provide education and information only. We are not an investment adviser, broker, fund manager or portfolio manager. We do not hold client money, place trades, or provide personalised investment advice. Nothing we publish constitutes a recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument.
3. Guidance requests
Submitting the guidance form does not open a trading account and creates no obligation on either side. We use your answers to send educational material and platform options that match your stated goals and experience level.
4. Platform comparisons and partners
- Comparison scores are editorial opinion, not a rating of investment performance.
- No platform is presented as guaranteed best for any individual.
- We may be compensated by selected platform partners; this is disclosed on the site.
- Platform details change — always verify with the provider before opening an account.
5. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your financial decisions, for confirming that the products you use are lawful and appropriate for you, and for your own tax affairs. You agree not to rely on us for regulated financial advice.
6. Intellectual property
Course material, written plans, templates and session recordings are provided for your personal use. They may not be resold, republished or shared with third parties.
7. Confidentiality
What you share in sessions stays private. We may reference anonymised, non-identifying situations for teaching purposes, never with figures or details that could identify you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading or investment losses arising from decisions you make. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Governing law
Jurisdiction to be confirmed with counsel before launch.
This page is a starting template written in plain language. Before launch, have it reviewed by a lawyer familiar with financial promotions and consumer rules in your jurisdiction, and insert your registered company details.
